Corrado Guzzanti
Corrado Guzzanti is an Italian actor, director and screenwriter. He was born in Rome. In 1988 he debuted as a comedian in the show directed by Serena Dandini, L'araba fenice, starting a close artistic partnership with the show host (Scusate l'interruzione, 1990; Avanzi, 1991-93; Tunnel, 1994; Pippo Chennedy show, Maddeché ahò!, 1997; Ottavo nano, 2001). In 2002 he brought his first personal project on TV, the political satire show Il caso Scafroglia. Over the course of his career, Corrado managed to breathe life into numerous imaginary characters and won over audiences with his subtle and poignant imitations. He splits his time between theater, cinema, television, and dubbing. One may recall the movies Fascisti su Marte (2006, directed by Guzzanti), La passione (The Passion) (2010), Ogni maledetto Natale (2014), A bigger splash (2015) and La prima pietra (2018), and the shows Recital (in theater from 2009 and in TV in 2011), Aniene (aired on Sky in 2011), "Aniene 2 - Molto rigore per nulla" (aired on Sky in 2012) the TV series he came up with Dov'è Mario? (aired on Sky in 2016). He is currently busy on the set of the new series Delitti del Barlume.
