Crystal Lujan
Crystal Lujan is a character actress and casting director for feature films, television shows, commercials, music videos and new media. Born (on Sunset Boulevard) and raised in Hollywood, she became obsessed with movies and actors as a young girl. Her interests in film and music led her to a career which began as the in-house casting director for the legendary Limelight Productions, and later Propaganda Films casting music videos for nearly every major rock star over the course of 15 years, including Madonna, Prince, David Bowie, Janet Jackson, U2, Sting, Marilyn Manson. At the same time, she was constantly in demand casting progressive and high-end commercials and campaigns for such clients as The Gap, Coca-Cola, Nike, L'Oreal, Max Factor, Estee Lauder, Lincoln-Mercury, Macy's, ESPN-X Games, Universal Studios, Showtime, among many others.
She has cast a wide array of productions, working with top directors including Tony Kaye, Julien Temple, Francis Lawrence, John Dahl, Jake Scott, Barry Sonnenfeld, Albert Watson, Sam Bayer, Matthew Rolston, Michael Bay, Alek Keshishian and David Fincher, to name a few. In 2001, Crystal married and moved to London to start a new career as a mother of 2 boys. The family then moved to Kauai, Hawaii. Since returning to her casting career in Los Angeles in 2006, she switched gears and has been primarily casting indie films for both established, and young, up and coming filmmakers, as well as casting international film, television, music video and commercial projects for Russia, England, France, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Japan and India.
In 2019, after years of casting, Crystal decided to pursue her true passion; to act.
