Salme Geransar
Salme is an Australian actor born in Tehran. Her family moved to Australia when she was four years old, and she grew up on the Central Coast, NSW. She took her first acting class while studying Biotechnology at the University of Newcastle. Her passion for acting led her to leave her studies and pursue performing arts at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art (AADA) in Sydney.
Her first TV appearance was on the hit police drama series 'Rush' (Network Ten/Southern Star) opposite Rodger Corser and Catherine McClements. She has since worked on other major Australian television shows including the highly popular series 'Winners & Losers' (Seven Network), and Australia's longest-running drama series 'Neighbours' (Fremantle).
She played Detective Majano in the 2021 Netflix crime-thriller series 'Clickbait' (NBCUniversal/Matchbox Pictures).
Her film credits include 'Izzy Gets the F*ck Across Town' alongside MacKenzie Davis, which premiered at the LA Film Festival, and the 2019 sci-fi thriller 'The Mandela Effect' directed by David Guy Levy.
Salme speaks Farsi and Spanish. She currently trains in Muay Thai and Aikido, and her martial arts weapons training includes the jo staff and bokken.
