Tonya Maldonado

Tonya Maldonado was born in San Antonio, Texas. She was bitten by the acting bug after doing a Schwegmann's commercial, but life took her down different paths for a while. In 2012, she was reintroduced to the industry and acting when presented with the opportunity to do a few background roles for several productions including Tremé, Grudgematch, Elsa & Fred. Maldonado teamed up with many local independent filmmakers to expand her repertoire and skills. She continues to enjoy the variety of challenges that acting provides. Her biggest influences have been the powerful and talented women: Angela Basset, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Whoopi Goldberg, Loretta Devine and Vivica A. Fox. Tonya is also the owner and designer of Lady T Fashion Accessories.
