Yissendy Trinidad
Yissendy Trinidad is a Dominican-American award-winner who has showcased her films at premier festivals such as Europe Film Festival, Latino Film Festival, and Marina Del Rey Film Festival.
Yissendy's first acting role was in the 2012 feature film Portico since her acting debut, she has taken on several roles in short films and TV shows, including My Crazy Ex, The Bay and Swedish Dicks. Yissendy will also appear in the upcoming feature film Babylon alongside Brad Pitt, Margo Robbie and Jovan Adepo by Oscar winning Director Damien Chazelle, and she recently filmed the feature film You're Not Alone alongside Michael Jai White and Robinne Lee.
Yissendy's journey into professional writing started when she move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and she decided to create her own opportunities. Yissendy's first project DON'T TRUST got selected in multiples film festivals, and is available in Amazon. The power of believing in herself, writing and directing got her pilot DOUMI GIRLS winning a Jury award in Europe Film Festival. Yissendy also wrote and created a romantic comedy series, My Dating Life in LA, based on a true story and her first two episodes on YouTube. Yissendy's first book, Aim for The Stars; The Keys to Reaching the Sky, was published in February 2021 and is available to purchase on Amazon.
Yissendy Trinidad is a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity in the media and arts and actively strives for more opportunities in film and television for Latinos. She tells stories that give a platform for minorities to reach international audiences using her love for drama, suspense, and comedy. Yissendy hopes to continue writing, directing, and performing in notable roles and to one day have her show on a Primary streaming service.
