Kelly O'Neal is an award-winning filmmaker, multi-disciplinary performing/visual artist, and acting teacher. As the founder of Mean Mama Dog Productions, in 2008 KellyO created the world of Gilda Sue Rosenstern. She co-wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the award-winning feature film Gilda Sue Rosenstern: The Motion Picture! as well as the Gilda Sue Live stand-up show, and web series. The film garnered many festival nominations including Best Director, Best Feature Screenplay, and Production Design. It won Best Comedic Feature at Central Florida Film Fest, and KellyO won Best Actress in a Comedy at Southern States Indie Fan Film Fest. As an actor she has worked in film, TV, classical theater, musical theater, performance art, and stand-up comedy. Her paintings, collages, and drawings have been exhibited in galleries and commissioned for books, periodicals, and board games. As a vocalist, she has performed in jazz and country bands, and she was a founding member of the 90's glam/funk musical extravaganza, Superchick and Goodpussy (much to her father's chagrin). She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Florida State University, studying with Joseph Papp, Roger Rees, and Raul Julia, among others. She also attended The North Carolina School of the Arts, and PAVAC, Miami's performing arts high school.
Kelly O'Neil Jackson was born Iowa. He moved to Los Angeles with his family while still in grade school. As a young man, he was athletic and a natural at acting, singing, and dancing. After graduating from high school however, Kelly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In his off-duty time, he continued taking acting classes and occasionally performing. One of his first acting jobs was Unsolved Mysteries (Final Appeal: The Port Chicago Mutiny) led to him joining the Screen Actor's Guild in 1993. Following his retirement from the Corps in 2004, he turned his attention back to acting, and began taking classes in Dallas, Texas with the legendary Ken Farmer. Soon after he was signed with an agent began landing roles in national commercials, television, cable, and movies. He was cast as the lead in M. Legend Brown's faith-based hit "Hiding In Plain Sight" and has since collaborated with M. Legend, as an actor, casting agent and executive producer on several other projects, including "A Heart That Forgives" and most recently "Jo and the Reaper."

Kelly grew up in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, where she was a star athlete, playing soccer, basketball and was even undefeated in Western Massachusetts in the high hurdles. She moved to NYC right out of high school to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She graduated with the highest honor, The Charles Jehlinger Award. While in New York, she performed off-Broadway, in regional Shakespeare, and on several TV shows. Making the leap to Broadway, she debuted as "Elaine Robinson" in the original cast of "The Graduate", starring opposite Kathleen Turner and Jason Biggs. Her career brought her west after 5 years in New York. Since moving to LA, she has worked consistently in film and TV, but never forgetting her roots in the theater.
