Singing and acting in many school shows, he soon went on to complete a BTEC in performing arts, at the college of West Anglia in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. Peter DeLaurier was born in Washington, DC where his father was chief aide to a Senator from Michigan. He was raised in Kansas City, MO and acted for five seasons at Kansas City Rep (then Missouri Rep) before he and his wife, Ceal Phelan, moved to NYC. There he worked Off-off-; Off- and on Broadway contracts, doing the final National Tour of the original production of Equus and spending a season with the New Phoenix Repertory Company. Peter and Ceal left NYC in 1978 to co-found the Delaware Theatre Company. In 1984 he became Artistic Director of New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS and in 1989 he became a member of Peoples Light & Theatre outside Philadelphia. He has worked there every season since. Peter has also worked extensively with other stage companies in Philadelphia. Following his wife's death in 2013, Peter re-started his career in film. He has since done commercials, industrials, and independent shorts. He recently played a featured role in the feature film, 615.
