Valerie McCaffrey
Born in Fresno, California, to a large Armenian family, she was one of the ten top finalists in California Junior Miss, and after high school, attended University of Hawaii where she studied theatre. Before graduating from California State University Long Beach, she was promotions director of the on site FCC regulated radio station KSUL where she booked talent for the campus. She has worked as Vice President of Casting at New Line Cinema for 6 years and before that, worked as Director of Casting at Universal Studios for 8. She taught drama to inner-city children for three and a half years and while a casting executive at Universal Studios, she produced shows twice a year for the industry.

Valerie was born in Glasgow, Scotland ( holds UK/CDN Passports) and began putting on skits at a young age whilst growing up in the Maritimes. She continued to develop her theatrical nature in school and university. Her first notable appearance being that of Katisha in The Mikado. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, she started a voice over/writing career at CHNS radio in Halifax. Seeking a change of scenery she headed west to Vancouver and became involved in the burgeoning film industry, first behind the scenes in production and later reigniting her acting passion in front of the camera. Valerie has appeared in over 60 Film/TV projects, voice-overs and commercials. Born in the Downriver suburbs of Detroit, Valerie Meachum grew up an Air Force brat, logging fifteen addresses by age twelve. Now based in the Chicago suburbs, she's equally at home in new plays on storefront stages, musicals and classics in the burbs, and the vibrant independent film scene of "Hollywood Midwest." She has written and is working on producing an evening-length solo theatre piece about Pre-Raphaelite model/artist/poet Elizabeth Siddal. Also a highly accomplished costumer, she often puts her combined skills to good use by bringing beloved heroines to life for children at hospitals and charity events.

Born in France and educated and trained in France and in the UK, Valerie is perfectly bilingual and she has worked extensively on several continents, first as a fringe theater and TV actress, then in Voice-Overs, ADR, and various dubbing projects, lending her voice to numerous US actresses for the French market (Meg Ryan, Shirley MacLaine, Katie Holmes, Diane Keaton, Amanda Peet, Helen Hunt, Mare Winningham, Robin Givens, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Diana Hardcastle, Diane Lane, Talia Shire, and many many others). A trained linguist, expert in phonetics and applied linguistics, translator and interpreter with a reputation for paying particular attention to authenticity, accuracy and detail, Valerie has also worked extensively in the entertainment industry as a Voice and Dialect Coach (various UK and French accents, South/West African, Italian, etc.) for TV series (the last three seasons of Alias (2001-2006), several seasons of The Unit (2005-2006), The L Word (2004-2009) etc.) and various international commercials. Valerie also served as Technical Advisor on the Alias (2001) series, for European scenes. Actors she coached include: Jennifer Garner, Hayden Panettiere, Bradley Cooper, Balthazar Getty, Élodie Bouchez, Kristin Kreuk, Carl Lumbly, Greg Grunberg, Benjamin Mouton, Izabella Scorupco, Judith Scott, Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs AKA Sean 'Diddy' Combs,Julia Voth, and more. Valerie is also a VO director and has directed many dubbing projects in Parisian French, Canadian French, UK and US English. Valerie's French and British voices are also featured in numerous video games and animation films and in the EuroDisney/Disneyland Paris theme park.
