Born and bred in Cork, Wendy spent many years performing at the Cork Opera House, The Everyman Theatre, The Granary and The Cork Cat Club (where she received a nomination for best newcomer early in her career). After having gained credits in Ireland and England for Theatre and shorts such as Dallus, in which she played 'Sweetie', she continued on to do a considerable amount of work in New Zealand where she toured different theatre productions. Wendy worked with Every Day Theatre Company performing the very challenging 'Family in Crisis' in prisons. Just before leaving New Zealand she took on the lead role of 'Natasha' in A shortcut to Happiness by acclaimed writer Roger Hall. Wendy trained at Drama Studio London where she graduated with Honours. Previous to this, she attained an Honours Degree in Theatre and Media Drama with Psychology from the University of South Wales after having already earned a Performing Arts Diploma with Distinction from Stiofain Naofa.
