From starring in critically acclaimed drama series to showcasing his natural ability in comedies on-screen, award-winning actor Yanic Truesdale has brought diverse and dynamic characters to life on screen over the years, and he is just getting started. In 2022 Truesdale can be seen in Netflix's upcoming comedy series "God's Favorite Idiot" opposite Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. "God's Favorite Idiot" follows a mid-level tech support employee who finds love with a co-worker at exactly the same time that he becomes the unwitting messenger of God. Truesdale shines as Chamuel, the new divine, archangel in town and if there wasn't a cataclysmic conflict tearing heaven and earth asunder, he'd try the nachos at that mall kiosk. "God's Favorite Idiot," which premieres this spring, reunites Truesdale with McCarthy nearly 15 years after wrapping their award winning, iconic series "Gilmore Girls." Additional recent credits for Truesdale include appearing in the award nominated film "My Salinger Year" (IFC Films) opposite Sigourney Weaver and Margaret Qualley which opened the Berlin Film Festival, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" for HBO (where he played Lin-Manuel Miranda's agent) and is a part of the ongoing murder mystery franchise "Fallen Angels Murder Club" for Lifetime opposite Toni Braxton. Truesdale is currently in production on season three of the record-breaking, CBC Canadian series "Les Mecs," which just sold for distribution worldwide. The series was revived by Netflix in 2016 for four special episodes under the title "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which brought Truesdale back into homes as Michel, for ecstatic fans.
