Salony Luthra
Salony Luthra is an Indian award winning actress with a theater background. She has worked on critically acclaimed films nationally and internationally and has also won Best Actress awards. Her debut film Sarabham (2014) which is a female oriented crime thriller garnered her great praise from the critics and audience. Her performance in the complicated role of two sisters won her the prestigious Ananda Vikatan Award for best actress (2015.) She received a standing ovation at The Chicago Film Festival for her film Oliyum Oliyum (2016) where she played a blind girl. Her Hindi short film Kajol went on to win her many awards in America, Europe, Canada and India for her potral of a mute Indian middle class dominated wife, where she conveyed all her emotions without dialogue. Her American film Forbidden, based on a true story of an American girl who loses her life to honor killing in New Jersey, won her the Best Actress award as well. She has been a part of various Ad films and brand campaigns. Her upcoming projects are her next American film Turned Out based on a character in New York city, and Telugu Debut film Bhanumati Ramakrishna where she plays the central character of a strong willed girl Bhanumati.
